Leonard Diepeveen is the Emeritus George Munro Professor of Literature and Rhetoric at Dalhousie University. Over the course of his tenure there he published widely as a scholar of modernist literature and visual art, and in 2020 was elected as a Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada. His memoir, When I Come Back We Will Talk: My Father, the War, and Me, was published in September 2026 by Freehand Books (Calgary) and released in a Dutch translation by Querido (Amsterdam). His recent short story “Lining Things Up” appeared in the Summer 2026 issue of Toronto Journal. He lives in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
